Biography
My name is Deonna Massey and I am fifteen year old. I go to East High School and I am in my sophomore year. I live with my two brothers and grandmother in the Black Rock area of Buffalo. When I was younger, my mom died in her sleep because she had severe asthma. It was a dramatic change at first, but I had to learn to deal with it.
I have been going to the Boys & Girls Club for the past five years. I am active in many programs such as our dance team and Keystone Club. I am currently president of Keystone and I serve as the captain of the dance team. This year I entered our dance team in a competition where the grand prize is $500, a trophy, and a trip to a statewide competition.
At East High School, I am enrolled in a program called Bio Informatics. This program allows me to excel in my studies of science and English. This year I have already passed an exam that upperclassmen have a difficult time with. My grades are good, but ever semester I try to improve so I can get a scholarship to college. When I graduate high school, I would like to attend Howard University in order to become a lawyer.
